Image Gallery

Following our recent and very successful photographic competition for which we received over 450 entries, we have continued to receive captivating images of activities relating to the functions and operations of the Marine Service Division.

We feel that these images should be shared with the public at large and have therefore created an image gallery to display the photographs we receive. If you have images of Marine Services' activities, be they historic or current, please email them as attachments to, with your contact details and image descriptions to share them with the global community.

This vessel was transiting the exact route that Captain Cooks journeys took him on the origional vessel - These photos were taken in 1991 passing Duncansby Hd
This is the remains of the ill fated Betinica Danica a Danish cargo V'sl which went aground on the West side of Stroma on 13th Feb 1993. She was 2 years old, and after 3 years had almost totally broken up with weather - only the stern section with Bridge structure and engine room remain.
